Terms of Service
Last updated 3 June 2026
These terms govern your use of FeckBills (“we”, “us”, “our”) — the hosted console at feckbills.com and the open-source scanner. By creating an account or running a scan against an account you control, you agree to them. If you’re accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you’re authorised to bind it.
1. What FeckBills does
FeckBills is a read-only cloud cost-waste scanner. It connects to a cloud account you authorise, reads usage metrics and cost/recommendation APIs, and produces a prioritised report of orphaned, idle, and over-provisioned resources with estimated reclaimable spend and suggested fixes. It never requests write scopes and never makes changes to your infrastructure.
2. Estimates, not guarantees
All monetary figures are estimates of reclaimable spend, derived from the metrics and pricing data available at scan time. They are not financial advice, not a guarantee of savings, and not a substitute for your own review. You are solely responsible for any change you make to your infrastructure in response to a finding. Always verify a recommendation before acting on it.
3. Your account and team
- You must provide accurate account details and keep your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- The Free plan displays a limited view (a single project, no alerts). The Team plan unlocks unlimited projects, unlimited seats, and email alerts.
- Team owners and admins can invite members; everyone with access to an organisation can see that organisation’s scan data. Only invite people who should have it.
4. Cloud access and acceptable use
- You may only connect and scan cloud accounts that you own or are explicitly authorised to assess. Scanning an account without authorisation is prohibited.
- You are responsible for the credentials you provide and for scoping them to read-only, least-privilege access as documented.
- Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, scrape it beyond normal use, reverse-engineer the hosted platform, or use it to break any law.
5. Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed through our payments provider, Whop. The Team plan is $20/month unless stated otherwise at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period and downgrades to Free thereafter. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods.
6. The open-source scanner
The FeckBills command-line scanner is open source and provided under its own licence in the project repository. Those licence terms — not these — govern your use of the source code. When you use the hosted console, these Terms apply.
7. Intellectual property
The FeckBills name, logo, hosted platform, and its content are ours or our licensors’. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while these Terms are in effect. Your data and your cloud account remain yours.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of estimates, and uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost savings, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service or from any action you take in response to a finding. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.
10. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us or others. On termination, your right to use the hosted service ends.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we’ll update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
